(AI KB) Allegro AX Shows Up As a Device But Is Not Accessible Through File Explorer

If you are not able to transfer files to your AX, try going to your PC settings: Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printer.  If the AX shows up as a device please try the following.

Update USB Configuration

1. After the device is connected to the PC, swipe down from the top of the screen to get to the quick setting options.
2. Open the USB options.
3. Select Transfer files.
4. Go to the PC to browse the contents of the device.

If this doesn't work, enable developer options to update the configuration.

1. Go to Settings > About this device > Software Information then tap the Build number 7 times. This will enable developer options.
2. Go to Settings > Developer options (which should now be visible).
3. Open the USB options.
4. Tap USB Configuration and select MTP or File Transfer.
5. Go to the PC to browse the contents of the device.

Assign Correct Drivers

1. Go to Device Manager on the PC.
2. Locate the device. (Usually indicated by a yellow triangle with an exclamation point next to it.)
3. Right-click on the device with the yellow triangle and select Properties > Select Driver.
4. Click Update Driver > Browse my computer > Let me pick from a list > Android Phone > Select MTP USB Device.

Let the drivers load and check to see if you can now browse the device's contents.
