Purpose: This article will show you how to perform a firmware update on your RM510C or RM510S device.
Note: This process can take up to 60 minutes
Requirements: Completed Installation of RM5 Unit and Current Version Bullhorn Tools Application on an IOS or Android Device.
IMPORTANT: Please ensure you've fully completed the installation of your RM510 unit PRIOR to beginning this process. Reference the install guide for assistance: (AI IV) Bullhorn RM5 Installation Tutorial (Video) – American Innovations Support Center (aiworldwide.com)
IMPORTANT 2: Throughout this process, do not make modifications, adjustments or changes to the RM5 - including powering off the device, disconnecting/adding cables, moving the dome, etc.
- Launch Bullhorn Tools (BHT) and Connect to RM5 Device - Once connected you should be prompted to 'Update' your Firmware
- An ‘Upload’ Process will begin - This process is uploading the firmware to the unit
Important Note: The firmware is NOT installing at this time – simply uploading the firmware to the RM5 - After 100% Upload – the Firmware will NOW begin to install. At this time you may select ‘Disconnect’
Important Note: Process may take up to 45-60 Minutes - After selecting ‘Disconnect’ you will not be able to connect or see unit on BHT for up to 45-60 Minutes within your BHT Application
Important Note: I/O will be blinking, indicating you can connect to the device, but you will not be able to – this is normal - The Firmware Update will be complete once you can reconnect to the Unit and Validate the firmware version. Please be aware that start to finish the Bullhorn Firmware update process can take up to 60 minutes.
