Purpose: This document serves as a guide for iOS FDC users on the necessary steps for transferring survey files from PCS to an iOS device.
Note: This will only work if IT has allowed access to OneDrive on the iPad device.
- Open PCS.
- Navigate to Field Computer Send as shown below.
Note: Make sure they have the necessary ROWS (Right of ways) Selected. This can be checked under the magnify-glass or clicking Selected ROWS. - Click the Send Mobile To Disk Option, next click the ellipses next to the Output Directory.
- Browse for Folder will now appear, locate your OneDrive folder, and click ok.
- Now click the Send option.
- On your iPad, open the Files application.
- Find the OneDrive on the sidebar on the left.
- Now locate the survey files in your OneDrive folder.
Note: Below is an is example of where I saved them to. In OneDrive I created a subfolder named FDC as shown. - Tap the Select Icon in the top right.
- Select both files and tab the Move Option.
- Navigate to On My iPad, and tap PCS FDC:
- From PCS FDC Navigate to Files and PS. Tap Copy.
- Close out of the Files Application and navigate to the PCS FDC application.
- The survey is now been assigned to the device.
