(AI KB) How to restore a Backup of PCS FDC on IOS and Android devices

Purpose: To explain how to restore a backup of PCS FDC on IOS and Android devices.

Note: A backup of PCS FDC will be a .zip file. Example: (name of backup).zip 

Android:

1. 1. In PCS FDC go to main screen that has login and select the settings gear in the blue bar.
      
      
      
      

   2. Select Disaster Recovery
      
      
      
      
   3. Select Restore and click yes when prompted.
      
      
   4. Find and select the backup file
      
      
      
      
      
   5. Then wait till the screen pops up saying that data has been restored and then restart PCS FDC
      
      

PCS FDC now will now have the survey data from the backup

IOS:

1. In PCS FDC go to main screen that has login and select the settings gear in the blue bar.
   
   
   
   
2. Select Disaster Recovery.
   
   
   
   
3. IOS will only have one backup file so will not have a option to select a backup file
   
   
4. If there is a external back up file then rename the external back file backup.zip
   
   
5. Then replace the backup that is in the backup folder in the PCS FDC folders
   
   
6. If there is not a backup in the backup folder, then create a backup in disaster recovery then replace the created backup file with the external backup.
   
   
7. Click restore in disaster recovery
   
   
8. Then wait till the screen pops up saying that data has been restored and then restart PCS FDC
   
   

PCS FDC now will now have the survey data from the backup.
