Introduction: This article provides step-by-step instructions on how to import surveys from the Mesa tablet into PCS hosted from disk.
- In PCS Field Data Collector (FDC) go to Periodic Survey and press options next to the name of the survey.
- Select the Export option.
- A green cloud icon will show that the survey has been exported.
- Connect Mesa to the PC via USB.
- Follow this file path in windows file explorer: MS3A/Internal Shared
Storage/Android/Data/com.aiworldwide.aim/Files/PS/Completed
- In that file path there will be a folder with the name of the survey and a .psx file.
If no pictures were taken in the survey copy the .psx file and paste into a folder on your computer (example: Desktop, Documents, etc). If picture were taken copy the folder, with the name of the survey, into a folder on the computer. - In PCS select the file icon with the up arrow at the bottom right.
- A browser window will open that is for the local PC files. Find the .psx file on your PC and press open.
- Another browser will open showing the Virtual Machine files. Go to the folder that is used to bring in surveys and press save.
Repeat steps 7 - 9 for each picture taken in the survey.
Note: If using the Parallels client application the pictures and .psx can be uploaded all at once instead of one by one.
- In PCS go to Field Computer Receive and select the option for FDC from disk.
- In input directory select the three dot button.
- Find the folder that the survey was saved too and press OK.
Note: will not show the .psx file is just selecting the folder that it is in.
- Click Retrieve Data.
- Click on the checkbox next to the survey and then click pencil icon.
- Fill in the desired assignment.
- Click on the import button.
