This process outlines the Firmware update procedure for the Geode GNS3S
While connected to your Geode with the Geode Connect app on your mobile device, you may see a prompt or info in settings saying that a firmware update is available.
As stated in the message, the Bluetooth firmware must be updated using the Windows version of Geode Connect.

Once you have the Windows app installed, connect the Geode to your PC with a USB cable.
note: if the device is not found and a USB connection with the device is not established, run the connection wizard under Help.
Once you are connected, you will be prompted to install the new firmware.
If you are not prompted for the update, you can find it in Settings.
Once the firmware install is complete, you will be notified with the following message. At this point, you can disconnect the Geode as the new firmware has bee applied.
