Purpose: This guide explains a three-step process on how to transfer surveys via USB on Android devices. After these steps, USB survey transfer to PCS is enabled.

Items Required:
- Android OS Based Device (Hardware: Device)
- MESA3
- Android Phone
- Android Tablet
Steps:
Step 1: Enable Developer Options:
- Open the tablet settings by pressing the 'Settings' Cogwheel on the main menu, app page (swipe up), or by the power button in quick settings (swipe down twice).
- Scroll down to 'About Tablet' and select 'Build Number' seven times. You may be asked to use your pin to confirm. Here, you should see 'You are now a developer' or 'You are already a developer'.
Step 2: Enable USB Debugging:
- From the main menu of the settings, select the 'Search Settings' at the top, from here you can search 'USB', we will use this search for the next step as well.
- Select 'USB Debugging' and make sure the slider is set to the right or 'ON'
Step 3: Change USB Default Config:
- Click the back arrow from our previous search, or search 'USB' again in settings, from here you should see and select the option 'USB Default Configuration'
- You will be taken to another menu where you can select 'USB Default Configuration' again
- From here, you should see a large USB with several options, change the option here to 'File Transfer' and back out of the menu.
Expected Result: You should now be able to send and receive surveys through USB.
Common Issues:
- IT Restrictions on USB transfer
- USB Cord is not able to data transfer, only charge
